John Stewart, a singer/songwriter who penned the Monkees' hit "Daydream Believer," died on Jan. 19 after suffering a massive stroke. He was 68. A former member of The Kingston Trio, Stewart was the official musician of the Democratic Party in 1968, and recorded more than 45 solo albums.
