Stig Slas Claesson, a prolific Swedish author, died on Jan. 4. Cause of death was not released. He was 79. Claesson produced about 80 books during his career, including "God Natt Froken Ann" (Goodnight, Miss Ann), which was published in 2006. He was also the recipient of the Selma Lagerlof Foundation's literature prize.
