Ugo Pirro, an Italian author and screenwriter, died on Jan. 18. Cause of death was not released. He was 87. Pirro penned the screenplays for "Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion" and "The Garden of the Finzi-Continis," both of which won Academy Awards for best foreign language film. His autobiography, "Just a Name on the Credit Titles," was published in 1998.
