Steve "Mr. B" Biondo, an author and columnist, died on Jan. 22. Cause of death was not released. He was 57. The former columnist for the Anderson Independent-Mail in South Carolina was described by a colleague as "a good writer and a really nice guy." He also penned the books "The True Story of Manse Jolly, Part I: As Told by the Hon. A.W. Fries" and "The True Story of Manse Jolly, Part II: As Told by the Hon. A.W. Fries." Biondo most recently worked as a reporter for the Laurens County Advertiser. In his spare time, he enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments.
